David Atkins, the owner of Atlas Automotive, started his career in the automotive world as a lot tech at a motorcycle shop in Arizona. There, he spent his days washing bikes, changing tires, and eventually moving into repairs. After spending a decade working his way up the corporate ladder at O’Reilly Auto Parts, David decided to follow his passion and start his own company. With a love for both cars and his family, he took the leap to create Atlas Automotive. In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids—his daughter (5), his son (7), and his oldest son, who is deeply involved in hockey. The family often tinkers with motorcycles or works on David’s beloved VW Beetle. David also travels frequently to take his son to hockey tournaments, and the family attends various training classes throughout the year, with David holding several real-world training certificates to continue growing as a business owner and automotive expert.
